What "Governance-AI" means — and why your data can stay home

The real blocker isn't the model — it's the data

Most AI pilots in hospitals, government, and finance don't stall because the model is bad. They stall in security review. Public AI sends your documents to someone else's cloud, and a regulated buyer simply cannot accept that — the legal, regulatory, and reputational risk of leaking patient, citizen, or customer data is too high.

"Governance-AI" is the answer to that blocker. Instead of shipping your data out to the intelligence, you bring the intelligence in to your data. Your documents stay on your hardware, inside your walls, air-gap-capable if you need it.

The three pillars

Every conversation with a regulated buyer is really about one of three fears. Each maps to a pillar.

Safety — "Will this AI leak our data?"

Your data never leaves your control. OrchAI runs on-premise, in your own cloud, hybrid, or fully air-gapped, with role-based access control, content filtering, and isolation. Nothing goes to a third-party API you can't see.

Accountability — "Can we defend this to a regulator?"

Every answer is traceable. Audit trails record what was asked and answered; answers are cited back to the source document so a reviewer can check them; and an independent evaluation step tests quality, citation, and safety before the AI ships. When an auditor or board asks "why did the AI say that?", you have a defensible answer.

Scalability — "Can we deploy more AI without losing control?"

The place most organisations lose visibility is the second-to-tenth AI deployment. OrchAI is modular and multi-tenant: start with one team, grow to the whole organisation, add capability card-by-card — no rebuild, no re-procurement.

What this looks like as a product

The three pillars are delivered by one suite, four products:

  • Portal — the whole platform, governed end-to-end.
  • Library — private, cited search over your own documents.
  • Agents — one front door for your AI tools.
  • Eval — quality control before the AI ships.

You don't have to buy all of it at once. Start with Library or Agents, and grow into Portal when you're ready.

Why it matters now

Long context windows in 2025–26 made "AI that reads your documents" a commodity. What survives as real value is the governance layer around it — the citations, the audit trail, the multi-tenancy, the cost control. That layer is exactly what a regulated buyer is paying for, and it's what turns a stalled pilot into a deployment you can defend.
